Winter Recess 2025

The CSUN campus will be closed for Winter Recess from Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024, through Jan. 1, 2025.*

No instruction except for Winter Term 2025 fully-online courses offered through Open University. Visit the Tseng College Winter Term Calendar for more information.
For self-service assistance with Spring 2025 registration during Winter Recess, visit the Registration Guide.
Regular campus office hours resume Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.

Some CSUN facilities will open limited hours during winter break. Check hours for the University Library, Student Recreation Center, etc., on their respective websites. Of course, the University Library is always available electronically!

* Note: The last day of the fall 2024 semester is Monday, Dec. 23, 2024. Campus is closed beginning Tuesday, Dec. 24, so please conduct any urgent business before Dec. 24.

Apply for Graduation on Time!

As soon as you have 90 units including work in progress, meet with your academic advisor to review your completed and incomplete degree requirements. Then apply for graduation for the term in which you anticipate completing everything. You may apply to graduate for the spring, summer or fall terms.

Spring and Summer 2025 Graduation Due Dates

Sept. 20, 2024 - On-time application deadline to apply for Spring and Summer 2024 graduation. Applying after this date, whether online or on paper, will require a $10 late fee. Helpful: Online Graduation Application Guide
March 7, 2025 - Last day to apply for graduation in order to participate in the 2025 Commencement Ceremony and have your name published in the program.
July 25, 2025 - Last day to submit documents and confirm awarding of Bachelor's Degree for SPRING 2025.
Sept. 26, 2025 - Last day to submit documents and confirm awarding of Bachelor's Degree for SUMMER 2025.

Undergraduate students may apply to graduate for the spring, summer or fall terms. As soon as you complete 90 units including units in progress, you will receive an email from Undergraduate Degree Services that you are eligible to apply to graduate. Contact your academic advisor to review completed and incomplete degree requirements.

Fall 2025 Graduation Due Dates:*

Feb. 13, 2026 - Last day to submit documents and confirm awarding of Bachelor's degree for fall 2025 graduation.

The following two due dates are shared for both spring or summer 2026 graduation:
