Updating/Syncing Your Password on a CSUN Managed Mac

After changing your CSUN password using the听password change utility, you will need to sync your CSUN managed Mac password to the new password you created.

  1. Verify that you are connected to听GlobalProtect VPN. You must be connected to the CSUN network.
  2. On your Mac, navigate to听Finder听>听Applications听>听Terminal.
  3. In the Terminal window, type in听login, then hit听Enter听on your keyboard.
  4. At听login:听enter your user name, then hit听Enter听on your keyboard.
  5. At听Password:听enter your new password, and then hit听Enter听on your keyboard.听This field will remain blank as you type so be sure to enter the password carefully.听
  6. A 鈥渓ast login鈥� message displays with the current date. This confirms that the password is now in sync with your device.

Note:听If you receive a password error, re-enter the new password and go through the steps again.
