I am an associate professor of psychology at California State University, Northridge. My work within and outside of the university -- research, teaching, and service -- is guided by critical race theory. My goal is to center and empower people from historically marginalized and under-served groups through my activities in the research lab, classroom, and community.

My full name written in Viet language is Huỳnh Quế-Lâm: family [last] name first, then given [first] name.
How do you pronounce that? A guide to pronunciation using the International Phonetic Alphabet in the order in which Viet speakers would say it: Huỳnh [hwìɲ] Quế [kwé] Lâm [ləm].
Seriously, how? Think of my last name [Huynh] as a combo of Juan + win = something like "Dr./Prof. Juin."
