Applicants We Process

Our office processes applications for domestic applicants who have applied through the Cal State Apply website. Any applicants who have done coursework outside the US will be handled by theÌýInternational Admissions Office.

The Office of Graduate Studies is delighted that you are considering a graduate program 91´«Ã½. The campus is a vibrant, diverse university community of 38,316 students, of whom 3,816 are graduate students.ÌýThere are over 70 graduate programs, which include three doctoral programs and more than 4,000 faculty and staff.Ìý

Ready to Apply?

There areÌýtwo application processes.ÌýApplicants to master’s and doctoral programs must typically apply toÌýbothÌýthe university and the academic department. Many departments haveÌýhigherÌýadmissions standards than the university admissions criteria and require aÌýseparateÌýdepartmental application. While most graduate programs continue accepting applications after the initial filing period, individual programs may haveÌýearlierÌýfiling deadlines than the university deadlines, or they may accept applications for fall only.
