Women, Infants & Children (WIC) is a supplemental nutrition program funded by federal grants to helpÌýprenatal and postpartumÌýwomen, infants, and children under the age of five. Participants receive one-on-one nutrition education, breastfeeding support, healthcareÌýand communityÌýreferrals,Ìýand a WIC food benefit cardÌýto purchase healthy foodsÌýatÌýlocal grocery stores. To enroll, proof of income, current address,Ìýidentification card,Ìýand proof ofÌýpregnancyÌý(if applicable)ÌýareÌýneededÌýat theÌýinitial visit. A part-time WIC office is located on the CSUN campus in Sequoia Hall Room 113. This office is open to all CSUN students, staff, or faculty members, and the surrounding community. This office is operated byÌýNortheast Valley Health Corporation,Ìýa private, non-profit community-based organization who also operate (8) additional WIC offices in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys.Ìý
