California State University, Northridge has conferred honorary doctorates to the following individuals in recognition of their exceptional professional achievements and meaningful contributions to society.听
All honorary degrees awarded by California State University, Northridge are conferred by the Board of Trustees of the California State University, in the name of Cal State Northridge and the California State University. The university will accept nominations for honorary degrees throughout the year. However, in order to be considered for the spring conferral, please submit your nomination by the Friday of the second week of October prior to Commencement.

In recognition of her impactful work expanding educational access as well as her transformative environmental leadership and unwavering commitment to equity and justice, California State University, Northridge (CSUN) will honor Lisa P. Jackson, Apple Inc.鈥檚 Vice President for Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives, with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree.
As the driving force behind Apple鈥檚 Racial Equity and Justice Initiative, Jackson tackles systemic barriers through bold programs in education, economic opportunity and criminal justice reform. Her vision directed a transformative $25 million investment in CSUN鈥檚 Global Hispanic Serving Institution Equity Innovation Hub, revolutionizing STEM education accessibility throughout California and beyond.
