Our Mission
The CSUN Testing Center contributes to educational access, student success and community enrichment through the administration of placement, proctored, professional and instructional testing in adherence with the National College Testing Association鈥檚 Professional Standards and Guidelines. We serve students, faculty and the community with a commitment to accessibility, equity and integrity.
CSUN's Testing Center has been certified by the听听since May 2014. CSUN's Testing Center is a proud member of the听, which听supports distance learning.

Promoting Academic Integrity
CSUN's Testing Center identifies academic integrity as the commitment to certain core values: truth, honesty, fairness, respect and responsibility.
Academic integrity is promoted by:
- Conducting testing in a supervised, distraction-free environment.
- Selecting qualified test proctors dedicated to protecting the integrity of the tests.
- Maintaining test security.
- Staff members who are trained to administer and monitor tests.
- Instructors who believe integrity is essential.
- Providing increased credibility to online courses.

Charity Chia
Testing Officer

Charity Chia directs development and operations for CSUN's Testing Center, which promotes access and continuing education. She has worked 91传媒 for more than 20 years, 16 years as the Testing Officer. Ms. Chia earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting from Truman State University in Missouri.
